ARCHITECTURAL ACOUSTICS
SCHOOL PROJECTS
- Jonah Amitnaaq High School,
Baker Lake, Nunavut
HGC Engineering addressed the practical difficulties of working
and procuring material in the Arctic when they were contracted
to assess floor vibration for the light-weight construction of
the Jonah Amitnaaq High School, in Baker Lake, Nunavut.
- University of Alberta Integrated
Sciences Building,
Edmonton, Canada
HGC Engineering was responsible for all acoustics, noise and vibration
issues in this new 500,000 square foot teaching facility incorporating
500, 400, 300, 200 and 150-seat lecture halls.
- Upper Canada College,
Toronto, Canada
HGC Engineering designed the acoustics of an intimate theatre
for drama productions as well as noise and reverberation control
in lobby areas and multi purpose teaching spaces.
- Bishop Strachan School,
Toronto, Canada
HGC Engineering accomplished the acoustical design of a new addition
to this elite private school including music, drama, rehearsal
and, performance spaces, gymnasia and teaching facilities
